01 — The Brief

The city, at the moment the light turns to brass.

An editorial commission studying Dubai's vertical skyline at the short window when the desert light turns warm — framed to explore how the city's towers wear their evening hour along Sheikh Zayed Road.

A Narrow Window

Usable light lasted around twenty minutes an evening. Every vantage point had to be scouted and framed in advance so the actual shooting was pure execution.

Vantage Points

Sheikh Zayed Road offers very few legal, stable positions with a clean line to the towers — several compositions were built from footbridges in moving foot traffic.

Haze and Dust

Late-afternoon dust flattens the skyline's separation. Evenings were selected on visibility rather than schedule, which meant repeat visits.

The final edit ran as a destination editorial, framing the city's vertical language at the exact hour it reads best, and forming part of an ongoing skyline study across Dubai.
